Almost as soon as the movie started, I could tell what kind of movie it was. And that is a typical, immature, teen partying movie with lots, and I mean LOTS, of unnecessary cussing. There are over 150 F-bombs in the movie. This movie also reminded me alot of Superbad. Superbad is another movie that is in some ways very similar to this one. In both movies it's a trio of friends who just want to party and get laid. However, this movie does not display as much comedy as Superbad and seems to focus more on the dramatized party. The whole party is glorified as "epic". Emotions of the main character (Thomas, his name in the movie and also his real name) seem to be reaching out to the audience; but I don't think anyone feels for the characters in this movie at all except for the immature, partying teens themselves. The whole movie is pretty typical during the partying scenes, with lots of cussing, drug usage, and naked women. But, I will admit there are a few scenes in the party that are just plain outrageous and unexpected. Depending on the person watching it, you would either laugh your head off or just shake your head in disapproval. I personally laughed at a few scenes, but like I said, there isn't quite enough comedy in this movie. Looking at this movie from a mature perspective, it is a pretty stupid movie that tries too hard to be "epic", and the emotional moments in the movie make me want to roll my eyes, rather than my eyes tearing up.
In summary: We have a pretty immature movie; with no direct point to it other than the visuals of the "awesome" party and a few laugh-out-loud moments. Even though the movie is pretty lame, it is still entertaining on some level and will appeal to an audience similar to the characters in the movie. (No offense intended).
